I am a PhD candidate supervised by Dr. Sidney Fels in the Human Communication Technologies Lab at the University of British Columbia. I am affiliated with Imager Laboratory, the Interaction Design Reading Group, and the Media and Graphics Interdisciplinary Centre (MAGIC).
My research interests are situated in Human Computer Interaction, specifically Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW) — the study of how people work together using technology. My PhD thesis project examines how we can design groupware to allow users to smoothly transition between different styles of work. Other research buzzwords that get my geek mojo flowing include information visualization, ubiquitous computing, novel interaction techniques, and ethnomethodology. Finally, I am a proud member of the Extremely Tall and Extremely Short HCI Researchers Club. If you haven't met me, I am a very very tall guy. For those of you that have, be cool, shut up, no reason to ruin it for everybody else. Recent Work (December 17, 2009)
